This holiday animated special includes five segments of new Peanut's animation taken directly from Charles Schulz's strips. The five segments are introduced as Christmas cards to the audience from five of the beloved Peanuts characters. In the first segment Snoopy opens his Christmas presents early and proceeds to go skating with Lucy, try his hand at being a charitable Santa Claus, write letters to his brother Spike in the desert and help Charlie Brown set up the Christmas tree. Next Linus writes a difficult letter to Santa, explains to a girl he likes the biblical implications of her names, and then is forced to deal with his affection for the youngster who can't decide on her name or address. Sally prepares for Christmas in some very unique ways and amazes her friends by stealing a neighbor's tree. Lucy feels that she has more Christmas spirit than usual and then proceeds to yell at everyone. Finally Charlie Brown tries to find the perfect Christmas gift to give to a girl he likes.
